I've been painting miniatures for 27 years, and started with RPG models back in 1985, when the industry was in its infancy. I struggled with bad brushes, and Testor's enamel model paints for close to 7 years before happening upon Ral Partha acrylic miniature paints.
After my decade long stint with RPG's my interest in miniatures began to flourish as I started playing tabletop Wargames. I've always been fond of giant robots, and naturally I gravitated towards Battletech. I went through several different types of wargame, including Epic, Warhammer Quest, Mordheim, Gangs of Mega-City One, Infinity, Dark Age, Hell Dorado, Malifaux, and Warmachine/Hordes. I have since settled on two systems which I enjoy the most; Warmachine/Hordes, and Hell Dorado.
I'm a Press Ganger for Privateer Press, and run several events every month at my local store; The Sentry Box. I run the official Leagues, Tournaments, and a painting/terrain demo once per month.
I've made many improvements in my painting since the advent of the internet, and having a large community of painters and tutorials available at your fingertips has been nothing but a blessing. I've been sharing my experience in miniature painting for over a year now
via Hand Cannon Online, where my painting tutorials and product reviews are featured.
I hope that's not too long!
