6x6 Rapid Assault Vehicle PRE-ORDER!

Here it is... FINALLY!

The 6x6 Rapid Assault Vehicle is now available to pre-order!

The complete 6x6 RAV kit is available for $39.99 and includes all 7 turret weapons and both hull weapon options.

The 6x6 turret is available as a standalone product for $14.99 with your choice of any one weapon option.

The hull is also available separately now for $24.99 and includes both of the front, hull mounted weapons. It does NOT include anything to fill the turret hole in the center of the hull.

The finished kit measures 5" long (127mm) 3.25" wide (80mm) and 2.5" (60mm) to the top of the turret.

The anticipated ship date is listed as 2-January, 2012 but the kits will start shipping the moment they become available.

Tell your friends. Tell people you don't like. Hang banners and tell complete strangers -- because if this kit does well it will be only the first of many new multi-part kits from Secret Weapon Miniatures!

  1. I'm still in for two hulls sans the turret. Tell me how you'd like to handle it.

  2. RIGHT!

Sorry, that's posted now too :)

  3. To be clear - the hull by itself option has nothing to cover the hole - like a hatch or smaller "command/radio/radar" turret? It's the "two hull options" that is confusing me, or does this just refer to the hull weapons?

Are "command/radio/radar" turrets - or any other turret variants for that matter - planned?

  4. AHA! Yes, happy to clarify.

You get the two front mounted hull weapons - a small flame thrower and machine gun. The machine gun is on the kit now and the flame thrower is bottom center.

The hull kit does NOT come with anything to cover the hole.

  5. Mr Justin, one thing that might help increase your sales would be to put up the LWH dimensions, that way people who're considering it would know just how much of their... desk space... it's going to take ;)

  6. A good point - and the info is on the order page but I'll post it here and above now too.

The finished kit measures 5" long (127mm) 3.25" wide (80mm) and 2.5" (60mm) to the top of the turret.

    It is roughly Chimera sized.

  7. Are there any plans to create a battle tank similar to a Leman Russ? I really like the styling and would love to have a wheeled main battle tank to support the rest of my guard army.

  8. Except for the sponson mounts you could certainly use this one as a Leman Russ -- it's a similar size. Slap on the HVC and you have a shiny new battle tank! Of course I think that a number of the weapon options are a match but I'd have to look it up.

  9. I think a lot of options match up. Looks like i will need to measure my chimeras to see which this comes closet too.

  10. Would the Forge world Ryza turrets fit this?

  11. 1. This would be great as a chimera replacement at barely $5 more. Just convert the turrets to look more 40kish and you have a high tech guard transport. Going to pick up a few for my mounted gue-vesa veteran IG list.

    2. By looking at your model CAD drawings it looks like the wheel sections are separate. Will there be a threaded version in the future? Would be a way to bring in a few more customers who aren't fans of wheeled vehicles.

    3. Will there be a "Main Battle Tank" type of mod in the future? To be honest I absolutely HATE the Leman Russ models, I'd love a more lower profile tank to replace them with.

  12. Edit: TREADED VERSION. Sorry I was typing on my iPhone and didn't realize the change.

  13. No plans for a tracked version at the moment - but it's a possibility once we recover from the expense of getting this one onto the market :)

For the "Main Battle Tank" - if you're trying to replace the Leman Russ, and not using sponsons, just throw on the High Velocity Cannon, Support Cannon or one of the other options that cross systems and you'll be good to go :)

  14. Order already in, can't wait to get mine.

They'll be much better value than a gw chimera due to the turret options. Could double them as hell hounds, banewolves etc, or even as russes with the support cannon or dual autocannon as already mentioned or imperial armor chimeras with autocannon turrets.

Add in that fact when considering the price and how you can swap them as you need and you'll find its much better value.

Now all you need is a kit to make them into griffion type artillery pieces or something to make them AA gun type and your sorted

  15. Thanks - and if this kit does well enough you can expect new turret options in the near future.
