6x6 Rapid Assault Vehicle - Turret Options!
When Beasts of War first leaked the WIP renderings of the 6x6 Rapid Assault Vehicle I mentioned that Mike was adding some detail to the model... and I wasn't kidding. Every detail has been improved - from the hatches to the suspension - and now I can finally show off the (still WIP) new model and give you a taste of the weapon options that are coming.
Top left to right:
Autocannons
Multi-Laser
Plasma Cannon
Flame Cannon
Support Cannon
Heavy Machine Guns
AT Cannon
Each of the weapons will be available separately and can be fitted into the turret without the need for glue so that you can swap them as the mood strikes you.
To give you a sense of scale the turret, without a weapon in it, is 7 cm long.
Unfortunately we still don't have a release date or price on this guy. It's very nearly ready to go to print and as soon as we have it in hand we should be able to work up a cost per piece. The turret and weapon options will be available separately.
Until next time....

Love it Justin! I had a chance to handle the older version and thought that was SWEET! this one even more so :)
ReplyDeleteexcellent! much detail, indeed!
ReplyDeleteEDW
Looking great. I particularly like the multiple laser and the support cannon variants.
ReplyDeleteNow when can we expect a 15mm version? ;)
There will be a 15mm version... but I need to get the 28mm version squared away first.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you all like this -- it has been quite a ride!
I love it looks really cool. Will it be possible to fit it to a Games Workshop model as a conversion or will it be soley for this model?
ReplyDeleteThe turret does fit the GW Leman Russ if you sand the connecting plug just a bit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment :)
Looking awesome!!
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Will the turret be available separatly?
Yes, the turret will be available separately. In fact the turret will be available prior to the hull. Still no clue on cost for the turret but as soon as I know I'll post an update.
ReplyDeleteyou know how bad a$ the tank would look with a legged version. i think its nicely scifi without looking like its from another planet.
ReplyDeleteWe actually have concept art for an artillery walker - and I think you'll be happy with how similar, though uniquely different, it looks to this piece :)
ReplyDeleteWhen, oh, when will this be available???
ReplyDeleteIf I said I was just waiting for the turret to arrive would you be excited?
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing. Did you say it was 15mm scale?
ReplyDeleteThis one is 28mm scale - but there are plans for a 15mm version if this does well.
